This on caused a bit of controversy in Odd HQ, whilst no one likes cold feet I for one cannot sleep with socks on. But it seems I'm going against science here and that sleeping with your socks on can actually be beneficial!
So lets look at the science here, humans self-regulate their body temperature. Our brains are constantly working to maintain our body temperature at around 37 degrees but this drops overnight and in order for blissful sleep our temperature needs to be kept at a level. So just like Goldilocks if you're too hot or too cold you're more likely to have a restless nights sleep.
Another little perk, especially coming into the colder winter months, is that socks help maintain the natural moisture level of your feet. Why not give your feet an extra treat an apply some moisturiser before bed to ward off any winter dryness. We are big fans of this one from Burts Bee's https://bit.ly/2MY2VZG.
There's even a Chinese medicine tradition that says keeping socks on at night promotes positive energy flow around the body. Now we aren't sure how true this is but we do know that any extra positive energy is welcome on winter mornings.
Once thing we do know is that if you're going to wear socks to bed they might as well look good so grab yours here www.theoddclub.com
